IDR Technology Solutions is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support, program, and maintain enterprise-grade physical security and network systems for commercial and enterprise clients across the United States. This hands-on, senior technical role involves working closely with field installation teams, project managers, and support staff to ensure effective system operations.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for deployed systems
Perform system engineering and programming in coordination with field teams
Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and service tickets
Collaborate with installation teams, project managers, and support staff
Manage manufacturer RMAs and replacement coordination
Apply and manage system licenses
Perform camera footage pulls and review activity logs
Execute firmware updates and ongoing system maintenance

Required

Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)

Willing and able to work US Eastern Time business hours (including seasonal DST)
Background in systems engineering, networking, security platforms, or technical support

Preferred

Physical security platforms (video, access control, intercoms)
Networking fundamentals (switching, VLANs, wireless, firewalls)
Cloud-managed systems
Meraki firewalls, switching, and WiFi
Fortigate firewall deployment and management
NVRs and camera systems
Access control and intercom programming
CCNA or equivalent certifications
