AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS REPAIRER

USAJOBS is seeking an Aircraft Ordnance Systems Repairer at Hill AFB. The primary purpose of this position is to troubleshoot, install, modify, repair, and adjust a variety of aircraft ordnance systems such as missile and special weapons launching devices, decoys, egress and jettison systems, and rocket launching equipment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot a variety of total aircraft ordnance systems such as missile and special weapons launching devices, decoys, egress and jettison systems, and rocket launching equipment
Repair, modify, and adjust the ordnance system to conform to specifications
Conduct "power on" check of the aircraft ordnance system by energizing the system with APU power source
Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area

Troubleshooting
Physical demands: The work requires standing, bending, stooping, climbing, stretching, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions and in hard-to-reach places. Frequently lifting parts and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with human or mechanical assistance
Work environment: The work is performed either inside or outside, and subjects the employee to prevailing weather conditions, noise, slippery or uneven surfaces, and working in confined areas. Exposure to the possibility of cuts, burns, grease, oil, dirt, electrical shock, and possible injury when de-arming and arming the system
