Responsibilities

Actively participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques
Integrates planning, programming, analysis, formulation, justification, presentation, execution, and review functions associated with support services
Collaborates with engineers, scientists, and other expert personnel at federal agencies, higher headquarters (HQ USAF, AF MAJCOMs, and FOAs), installation organizations, host nation agencies, other military services, and private organizations to ensure effective identification, evaluation, and provide a unique solution to complex engineering project management issues
Prepares required correspondence and documentation and maintains continuous liaison with peers, functionals, and management at Command, Center and Air Staff as required
Provides resource management support. Advocates for funds in support of assigned projects/programs

Males must be registered for Selective Service
A Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in Engineering
Basic Requirement for 0808, Architect: A Degree in architecture or related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines
At least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems
Professional knowledge of a wide range of engineering or architectural theories, concepts, principles, practices, techniques, and methods
Thorough knowledge of design/construction standards, methods, practices, techniques, materials, and contracting procedures
Knowledge of current US laws and regulations, as they pertain to Facility Engineering
Knowledge of standard programming, budget, and funding processes
Ability to forecast, develop, and evaluate resource requirements pertaining to assigned project(s)
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior officials from a broad array of activities
