Responsibilities
Design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls (policies, VPNs, SD-WAN, threat prevention, threat prevention, HA clusters)
Administer and optimize Proxmox VE clusters for internal lab, testing, and production virtualization environments
Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible, PXE boot, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and Google Workspace administration scripting/API integration
Monitor network and system performance, proactively identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and minimal downtime
Participate in on-call rotation for critical network and infrastructure incidents
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for network designs, automation playbooks, and standard operating procedures
Ensure compliance with security best practices and internal policies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
3-4 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and infrastructure administration
Strong expertise with Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls (configuration and management (NSE 4 or higher strongly preferred)
Hands-on experience managing Proxmox VE clusters in production or lab environments
Proficiency with Ansible and infrastructure-as-code practices
Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Deep understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs)
Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance troubleshooting
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
