They are seeking an Application Sales Engineer responsible for achieving sales objectives by pursuing opportunities, building customer relationships, and providing technical support throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

Promote the sale of Water Management products through channel partner networks, consulting engineers, contractors, OEM partners, direct-to-end-users, and other channels, as appropriate
Work in conjunction with the sales team as a key technical advisor, identifying and providing reliable solutions to assure customer satisfaction throughout all stages of the sales process
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the sales cycle
Acknowledge and respond to RFQs/RFI’s in a timely and professional manner
Utilize technical knowledge, processes, and internal resources to assess the potential application for Water Management products and offer solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations
Develop technical offers for engineered products, including, but not limited to, cost estimates, energy analysis, drawings, specifications, engineering submittals, and other information as requested by the customer
Positively contribute to the following departments: Sales, Order Management, Purchasing, Aftermarket, Project Management, and Operations
Resolve customer challenges in a manner consistent with the company’s mission, values, and financial objectives

Required

Knowledge in the following areas: Rotating Equipment, Wastewater Treatment Technology, Theory of Design, Fluid Mechanics, Mixing Technology, Electric Motor Technology
Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills
3-5 years of business experience
Proficient with: ERP Systems, Outlook, Microsoft Products, Adobe Pro, Pump Selection Software, etc
Competitive nature with a strong desire to succeed in a team environment

Preferred

University degree preferred, with emphasis on Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related experience in place of education
