Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable, secure-by-default frameworks, services and tools that underpin Snowflake’s infrastructure and ensure our customers’ data and accounts are secure
Anticipate and proactively address emerging security risks, defining long-term mitigation strategies aligned with business and product goals
Define and drive security architecture across the platform, focusing on key areas such as authentication, authorization, data protection, and software supply chain security
Partner with product and engineering teams to implement security best practices
Mentor engineers, influence engineering culture, and promote a strong security mindset across the company
Qualification
Required
15+ years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed systems and cloud services
Expertise in different security areas such as identity and access management, secret management, applied cryptography, secure system design, and cloud security
Experience in software development working with one or more of the following languages: Java, Go, Python, C, C++
A track record of technical execution and technical leadership
A track record for mentoring and guiding senior and staff engineers
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work on-site at our Menlo Park, CA or Bellevue, WA offices
