They are seeking a part-time Interior Designer/Home Stager to manage creative looks, oversee inventory, and lead staging projects in the Hudson Valley and Manhattan.
Design
Responsibilities
Stage Hudson Valley projects
Organizing accessories for the Design Center/putting away (shelving) accessories from staging jobs in a prompt manner
Kitting (placing accessories in groupings in bins) and bagging of accessories and bedding
Washing and folding of linens
Printing of artwork and basic framing
Shopping as needed for accessories and home decor items at local stores
Assisting Manhattan design teams with accessories as needed
Overall impeccable organization and tidiness of our new state-of-the-art warehouse/showroom
Marketing and outreach
General administration tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
Cover letters are required for consideration: We do not read resumes without cover letters
Must be able to hit the ground running, managing our creative looks and managing junior staff
Extensive background and knowledge of visual merchandising and props
Previous experience with home staging and prop styling
Ability to bring fresh ideas as it relates to our inventory of furniture and accessories
Self-starter
Excellent communication skills
Established professional and personal connection to the Hudson Valley
Strong interest in real estate and interior design
Savvy with social media and computer skills
Keep up on the latest trends in the world of interior design and home staging
Not shy when it comes to physical work, as home staging is very physical and requires long hours
MUST BE HUDSON VALLEY BASED (Ulster or Dutchess County) or live within 15-45 minutes of HIGHLAND, NEW YORK
Preferred
Visual merchandising experience specifically in the home decor (NOT FASHION) field is a PLUS (but not required)
Interest in home staging and interior design (a PLUS but not required)
AAS or BFA in Interior Design (strongly preferred)
Basic ability to assemble furniture
Basic visual merchandising, styling, and or prop styling skills
