Responsibilities
Estimate labor and material costs for manufacturing products based on RFP specifications
Analyze sketches, blueprints, bills of material, and sample layouts to determine production requirements
Collect cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors
Compute cost estimates for raw material and subcontracted work
Prepare and present cost reports to management, contracts personnel, customers, and price auditors
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Operations or Supply Chain Management or related discipline is desired
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Experience in Procure to Pay (P2P) Materials Cost Estimating (MCE) system
Experience in Materials Cost Estimating proposal process and procedures
Preferred
Experience in Materials Cost Estimating (MCE)
Experience with Request for Proposals (RFP), FAR, DOD environment or material estimating
Familiar with the production process, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), SAP Procure to Pay (P2P), and Electronic Financial System (EFS)
Ability to function with a variety of inputs
Ability to analyze an MCE BOM for estimating purposes
Ability to read MESOW's to determine direct material proposal requirement
