Staff Accountant - Development
Lotus Company is dedicated to creating sanctuaries where life can flourish and is seeking a highly skilled Staff Development Accountant to join their accounting team. This role is crucial for maintaining accounting integrity, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance across their real estate and hospitality operations.

Responsibilities
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency
Assist the Accounting Manager and/or Assistant Controller with the acquisition fund budget and cash flow projections
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies
Prepare project cost tracking and analysis
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities and ensure compliance with reporting standards and regulations
Prepare development draws, accounts payable processing, bank reconciliations, and vendor management in accordance with Lotus standards and operating procedures
Leverage Yardi Voyager for development accounting, reporting, and system optimization
Collaborate with development team members to ensure accurate financial tracking
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accounting
Excellent Excel skills; experience with financial modeling and data analysis a plus
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience, ideally in property development
Preferred
CPA, CMA or progress toward certification preferred
Proficiency in Yardi Voyager is preferred
