This role involves reviewing, analyzing, redacting, and annotating sensitive content from government documents to ensure compliance with FOIA requirements and exemptions.

Responsibilities
Support the federal government’s commitment by ensuring sensitive information is properly redacted from documents released under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552
Review, analyze, redact, and annotate sensitive content from government documents containing data not intended for public release
Ensure compliance with all FOIA requirements and exemptions, preserving the integrity of sensitive federal information while honoring the public’s right to access
Identify protected content and apply the appropriate exemption citations with precision and consistency
Qualification
Required
Detail-oriented and mission-driven
Strong judgment
Attention to detail
Thorough understanding of FOIA requirements and exemptions
Ability to work independently
Ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to deliver accurate results under deadlines
Preferred
Experience with legal documentation
Experience with redaction software
Experience with eDiscovery tools
Familiarity with sensitive government data handling protocols
