Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations
Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Deliver safety training programs for employees and variable labor, ensuring understanding and compliance
Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to integrate safety into daily operations
Maintain and update emergency response plans and coordinate drills
Track and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging safety technologies
Safety program/culture management and support
3rd party training monitoring (I.e. forklift, 1st aid/CPR/AED, OSHA 10/30
Polygon Learning Platform (PolyPro) content and development
In Depot programs and support
DOT program management and support
Samsara/Kelmar
General & Sub-contractor Company & Vendor Compliance, Safety Programs
ISNetworld , Browz and Avetta Management
Project support – sales/operations/ onsite
Office Safety Audits – bi-annually visit each office with support from the Unit Managers on off years and follow up
Hands on / Class room training – Ops & sales
Catastrophe Operations – as needed

Qualification

CSP certificationOSHA standards knowledgeSafety management softwareAnalytical skillsProblem-solving abilitiesLeadership skillsCommunication skillsAttention to detailOrganizational skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field
OSHA 30-hour certification required
Minimum 5 years in safety management or EHS roles, preferably in construction
Strong understanding of OSHA standards, ANSI, EPA, and DOT regulations
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in safety management software and reporting tools
Ability to influence and foster a strong safety culture
Willingness to travel to multiple sites as needed
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Preferred

CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ASP, NEBOSH, or equivalent preferred
