Ground Controller/Load Team Member

Responsibilities

Advise on problems maintaining, servicing, and inspecting C-130 aircraft
Serve as a liaison to the US Air Force maintenance personnel
Assist the C-130 ATS student training, including preflight training and aircraft loading/unloading training
Assist Flight engineers during all phases of -1 preflight training
Operate/Drive required MHE (Material Handling Equipment) as required
Assist aircraft loading and un-loading

Required

Position requires a high school diploma or GED and one (1) year of directly related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and related experience
Must have a working knowledge of C-130 aircraft maintenance operations
5-skill level C-130 maintenance experience required
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
Must be able to work shift work and overtime as required
Material Handling Equipment Operation experience
Knowledge of principles applying to aircraft systems; concepts and application of maintenance directives and data reporting; using technical data; Air Force supply procedures; and proper handling, use and disposal of hazardous waste and materials
Basic communication skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents
Basic math skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, fractions, percentages and ratios to practical situations
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusion
Must be able to receive and maintain a flight line driver's license

Preferred

Possession of a FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certification is desired
