Responsibilities

Oversees all operational, interview and intelligence functions at all NRT activations or on occasion other regions as directed
As NRT supervisor, the incumbent supervises up to 30 special agents, who are tasked with performing substantive criminal investigative work
Manages and directs a large staff of criminal investigators and clerical support, overseeing their work for effectiveness in conducting division operations and activities
As NRT Supervisor, the incumbent has total responsibility of all aspects of NRT activations including evaluating the teams performance

Required

Pass drug screening and subject to random drug test
Requires proficiency with a firearm per ATF's Standard
May be required to serve a 1-year probationary period
Complete or have previously completed the basic criminal investigative courses (Criminal Investigator Training Program, Special Agent Basic Training) at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC)
Complete a medical examination (including vision, hearing, cardiovascular and mobility of extremities) by an authorized government physician and be determined physically fit to perform strenuous physically demanding duties
The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of the announcement
To qualify for GS-14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position
Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume
Specialized experience includes: Applying law enforcement investigative techniques in order to direct a major field component; AND Executing and coordinating criminal enforcement programs; AND Making operational decisions regarding investigations of a criminal nature

Preferred

Certified Fire Investigator experience is preferred but not required
