Responsibilities
Assist in issuing and processing paratransit eligibility programs according to federal, state, local, and company guidelines
Address inquiries regarding eligibility requirements, make determinations, and provide accurate and detailed information over the phone, in person, and in writing
Adhere to the eligibility guidelines based on information provided by the customer and medical professionals
Conduct assessments and interviews, maintain files, and manage multiple tasks
Interact with passenger support providers and stakeholders
Be on call for pre and post-emergency preparedness
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or equivalent recognized certification (GED)
Two (2) years of previous customer service experience with in a call center environment and inputting of customer data; or an equivalent combination of related training and experience
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred
Associate's Degree from accredited college or university with course work in health care administration, physical therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, social work or related field
Knowledge of Americans Disability Act (ADA) and Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) and DOSS (Division of Senior Services) transportation requirements
Knowledge of the relationship which disabilities and medical conditions play in an individual's ability to independently use fixed-route transit system
Bilingual – English/Spanish/Creole
Ability to respond to customers via social media platforms or online chat
