Responsibilities
Leverage your software development background to oversee and curate a strategy, roadmap, and vision for the ever-evolving, AI driven platform for Pega Knowledge agents
Maintain a product backlog of high priority work streams that enables Pega to stay current with technological advances and deliver user friendly solutions to our client’s complex problems. Your hands-on technical experience will be crucial in writing detailed requirements for engineering teams
Be the Product Owner in Pega's agile process, including writing clear stories in Pega's Agile Studio, acceptance of story implementation at Sprint reviews, and conducting periodic business-level play backs to stakeholders to solicit feedback. You'll need to translate complex technical architectures into business value propositions
Write and evaluate prompts, ensuring we are delivering GenAI solutions effectively and minimizing the need for our clients to have deep LLM knowledge to implement successful solutions
Work with executive leadership, clients, partners, and analysts to articulate a clear vision for the future of our product
Stay current on competitive market offerings and deliver on differentiation, positioning, and communications. Your technical expertise will be essential in conducting deep technical competitive analysis
Research innovative approaches to solving similar problems, remaining current on all related technologies. Your background will help you evaluate emerging technologies and AI patterns from a practical implementation perspective
Evaluate new and emerging technologies and determine applicability to current and future projects and markets, as related to AI and RAG solutions. You'll need to assess technical feasibility, scalability, and architectural fit based on your experience
Initiate formal and informal reviews of ideas and technical objectives – promote ideas and practices which drive innovation by leveraging your deep understanding of software design principles and enterprise architecture patterns
Motivate and inspire team to achieve outstanding results by providing technical leadership and product guidance based on your experience
Coach employees to increase levels of competence and performance
Effectively and persuasively communicate plans, roadblocks, and successes with colleagues and make recommendations for improvements including detailed technical explanations to engineering teams and high-level summaries for executive stakeholders
Communicate with senior Pega leadership, as well as customer and partner leadership. Your ability to discuss complex technical architectures with both technical and business audiences will be essential
Help others, work collaboratively across the organization, and embrace a “One Pega” approach in support of Pega objectives
Support product strategy, future direction, and currently available features and functions to customers, partners, industry analysts and other areas of the organization. This includes speaking engagements, webinars, and customer visits where you'll need to present technical solutions and our UX approach
Qualification
Required
BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree
Minimum 15 years' experience in software development; Product Analysis, Technical Architect, Technical Project Lead with significant time spent in hands-on development and/or software architecture roles
10+ years in Engineering/Product Management with a strong technical foundation and continued involvement in technical decision-making
Experience writing prompts, using GenAI tools, working with RAG systems, and solving real world problems using generative AI
Experience defining, designing and delivering enterprise scale systems including direct experience with scalability challenges, performance optimization, and system integration complexities
You are a hands-on technologist with significant software development and/or software architecture experience who can hold your own in detailed technical discussions about data architecture, integration patterns, and enterprise-scale systems
You are skilled at creating Product Strategy, vision and roadmaps to deliver customer driven integration solutions backed by deep technical understanding of implementation complexities and architectural trade-offs
You are imaginative and creative, able to identify solutions to pervasive customer needs and build features that are differentiated and compelling while ensuring technical feasibility and scalability based on your development experience
You have proven experience leading technical teams and can effectively communicate with software engineers, architects, and technical stakeholders about complex integration challenges involving customer data platforms, data lakes, and decision data stores
You are a strong technologist skilled at adopting leading technologies (open source or otherwise) with hands-on experience evaluating and implementing enterprise-scale data engineering solutions
You enjoy working on innovative solutions that drive company growth
You excel at influencing key decision-makers through both technical expertise and business acumen
You consistently provide a clear point of view verbally and pictorially including architecture diagrams, product presentations, and requirement documents
Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully to both internal and external customers, including senior executives with the ability to seamlessly transition between technical deep-dives and business-level discussions
