JOINT SECRETARIAT SPECIALIST

Responsibilities

Manages tasks and responds to tasking of the Command and its components
Responsible for procedure, content, quality, and editing of USTRANSCOM correspondence submitted to the Command Group
Plans, organizes, and manages the TCCS-JS activities to ensure policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs
Serves as the organization Defense Travel Administrator (DTA) for the Command Group

Must be a U.S. citizen

This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use
May be required to work short notice overtime or on weekends
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service
Receive, process, and track correspondence for the Command Group
Directs the development and implementation of internal and external controls and performance measures for assigned programs
Researches, solicits, and selects material and information to be reviewed and/or signed by the Commander, Deputy Commander, and Chief of Staff for submitted packages
Researches, interprets, analyzes, and applies technical and administrative guidelines, policies, regulations, etc
Serves as Government Purchase Card (GPC) Approving Official for the command support group
A PhD or equivalent graduate degree or three years of graduate level education leading to such a degree
Some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than three years of education as described in B
Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
