Responsibilities

Performs complex maintenance and operational tasks with all natural gas process related equipment and systems
Minimizes unplanned shutdowns through root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions with a focus on improving safety
Fixes and maintains process control systems
Partners with project managers to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new projects

Required

High School Diploma/GED and minimum of two (2) years' experience as an Operations Technician or similar role, including one (1) year experience as an I&E Technician
The ability to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
The ability to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
The ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
The ability to work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
The ability to use hand tools
Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Needs basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
Previous experience working in an environment with gas-plant operations, gas compression and/or liquid or gas gathering processes
Previous experience in the mechanical, electrical, and/or maintenance industry
I&E Technicians works with electrical and instrumentation equipment
Perform maintenance and operational tasks with all natural gas process related equipment, instrumentation, and control systems
Properly maintain and complete maintenance records, service reports, and other required documents as required
Maintain and operate glycol dehydration, cryogenic processing, fractionation plant, reciprocating and turbine compressors
Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment, vehicles, tools, and equipment
Attend safety and technical training while progressing in the I&E Operations Technician development process
Maintain and operate Allen Bradley PLC systems
Follow and adhere to Williams' System Integrity Plan for all regulatory requirements and company core values and beliefs
Supports teams by providing quality maintenance duties to maximize equipment reliability and availability
Electrical troubleshooting of low to high voltage equipment and repair and instrumentation and control valve calibration
Has electrical / electronic skills and knowledge
Participate in root cause analysis and execution of corrective actions to minimize recurrence of unplanned shutdowns
Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to troubleshoot and maintain process control systems
Initiates and completes work orders and requisitions, and documents all critical and or pertinent information on a routine basis
Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, instrumentation and analytical equipment, following electrical code, manuals, procedures, schematic diagrams, P&IDs, blue prints and other specifications
Inspect instrumentation periodically and perform calibrations to ensure accuracy
Perform some programming and controls work

Preferred

Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum of two (2) years' experience as an Operations Technician in the Oil and Gas Industry
