Responsibilities
Own Financial Operations: Manage financial operations and month-end close processes for key client accounts
Serve as Account Manager: Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of customers. Provide expert guidance on financial operations and systems while fostering strong relationships with startup founders and executive teams
Drive Client Retention and Growth: Strengthen client relationships through proactive support, value-added insights, and consistent service delivery - identifying opportunities to expand impact and deepen engagement over time
Operate Autonomously: Independently manage day-to-day responsibilities and deliverables with minimal oversight, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes
Analyze and Report: Conduct in-depth financial analysis (e.g., Balance Sheets, P&L statements, Cashflow reports) and ensure reporting accuracy for larger or more complex accounts
Leverage AI and Automation: Utilize AI-powered tools and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy across workflows. Comfort working with technology is essential, as our platform and processes are tech-forward and continuously evolving
Collaborate with Offshore Partners: Coordinate and delegate tasks to an offshore delivery team to ensure work is completed accurately and on time. Maintain high standards of quality through strong documentation, collaboration, communication, and review processes
Streamline and Improve Processes: Leverage software, automation, and workflow tools to boost efficiency, maintain visibility, and implement scalable solutions that address root causes of inefficiencies
Mentor and Support Others: Support junior team members and offshore team through mentoring, coaching, and oversight of deliverables. Help foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
Communicate with Clarity and Sound Judgment: Balance customer needs with service expectations while fostering collaboration and maintaining clear, professional communication across all channels
Collaborate for Results: Partner across teams and strategic initiatives to address service challenges, enhance delivery, and drive an exceptional client experience while advancing companywide goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
3–5+ years of full-cycle accounting or finance experience, ideally with multiple clients or within a fast-paced, client-facing environment
Advanced skills in financial reporting, data interpretation, and workflow optimization
Comfort working with offshore teams and managing deliverables across time zones and cultures
Familiarity with AI tools and a proactive attitude toward adopting new technologies
Expertise with GL tools like QuickBooks Online (preferred) and other software tools
Demonstrated ability to identify root causes of problems and implement scalable solutions
Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail
Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members
A high degree of integrity, ownership, and a client-first mindset
