Responsibilities

Follow safety rules and regulations (SOP, PPE, etc.)

Follows work standards

Revises work standards as needed

Use equipment/technology as trained

Maintain clean and organized work area

Prioritizes and completes assignments in timely manner

Follow work orders and batching instructions to make experimental adhesive formulations

Communicate with internal customers

Notifies supervisor of issues with work standards

Reports results to the lab supervisor

Identify operation, quality, and technology issues and report them to their supervisor

High level of supervision required initially

Perform general laboratory maintenance and follow Global Harmonized System (GHS) practices

Demonstrate knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical hygiene practices

Qualification

Required

Minimum: HS diploma or equivalent

Working knowledge of MS word and Excel is required

No work experience is required, but an aptitude for math and science is required

Self-Starter with ability to work independently and multitask effectively

Technical aptitude with strong documentation skills

Preferred

Knowledge of ASTM and other test standards is preferred

Experience in Lean Culture is preferred

Six Sigma certification (yellow, green, or black belt) is a plus
