Senior Electromagnetic Design Engineer
The LEGO Group is a global leader in play experiences, and they are seeking a Senior Electromagnetic Design Engineer to join their Mechatronics Engineering team. Responsibilities
Serve as an individual contributor with expertise in electromagnetic design engineering for actuator and transducer development, as well as associated electronics and systems to raise the bar on the engineering behind the LEGO Group technical products
Play key individual contributor role in work involving actuator system technical requirements definition, proof of concept work, product/platform development, risk management, and test engineering from idea stage through mass production
Key player in expanding our journey in the field of multiphysics simulation
Work as part of a global cross functional team (North America, Europe, Asia) to deliver to the market and lifecycle manage integrated, manufacturable solutions at excellent quality and high volume
Demonstrate by example excellence in engineering, teamwork, innovation, risk management/mitigation, and delivery
Work in tight collaboration with other hardware group functional team members (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, and Embedded Engineering) from Denmark, Boston and Singapore to support our capability growth efforts
Qualification
Required
Significant experience in Electromagnetic Design Engineering roles that involve small/miniature scale actuator or similar from idea stage to mass production on high complexity projects
Basic coding and electrical engineering skills to perform fast board bring-up and evaluation of new actuators or transducers
Experience in modern high-volume, cost-constrained, end-to-end actuator system development and productization in relevant markets (e.g. consumer electronics, robotics, medical devices, or similar)
Experience in multi-physics simulation as a tool for designing new technical systems, and exceptional capabilities in creative technical problem solving
Demonstrated skills in navigating and making smart decisions pertaining to actuator systems, hardware/software interdependencies and trade-offs (closed-loop control methods, test engineering, collaboration with internal and/or external content providers, etc.)
