The Associate Patternmaker is responsible for creating original patterns for Lilly Pulitzer branded merchandise and supporting the Sample Room's day-to-day functions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute samples at all product development stages.

Responsibilities

Understand the Lilly Pulitzer customer, lifestyle, and positioning in the marketplace

Collaborate with Fashion Design and other cross-functional teams to execute samples with desired styling and fit at all stages of development as well as on other special projects as required

Draft and revise patterns utilizing the 2D and 3D functions of the Optitex system

Digitize patterns, lay and plot markers when needed

Assist in the cutting process

Maintain communication and follow-up with sample makers and outside departments

Work closely and in a timely matter with Technical Design in the transfer of patterns and samples

Assist with the general maintenance and organization of the Sample Room

Collaborate effectively with colleagues, embrace, and implement the new Brand Framework, fit with and actively use the Company Core Values

Required

A four-year college degree is required, preferably with a major/minor within Fashion Design or Technical Design

5 years of patternmaking experience, preferably in the fashion industry

Proficient skills in digital patternmaking and grading, in garment construction, in fit required for the contemporary customer and basic computer skills are required for this position
