They are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented In-House General Counsel to serve as the firm’s in-house counsel on employment practices and contract matters while contributing to revenue generation through external employment law cases.

Responsibilities
Advise senior leadership on legal compliance and risk mitigation related to employment practices, employee relations, and HR policies
Draft, review, and negotiate internal firm contracts including vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and NDAs
Oversee internal investigations and provide recommendations on disciplinary actions or employment disputes
Ensure compliance with multi-state employment laws and regulatory updates affecting law firm operations
Manage and litigate external employment law cases including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage/hour claims
Provide legal counsel to the business on compliance with federal and state employment laws
Draft employment contracts, handbooks, severance agreements, and non-compete clauses for external clients
Develop strategies to grow the firm’s employment law caseload and contribute to firm revenue goals
Represent clients in mediations, administrative hearings (EEOC, DOL), and court proceedings
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license in at least one of the following states: GA, TN, NY, SC, and/or CA
Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on employment law and contracts
Proven track record of litigation success and/or client advisory in employment law matters
Strong understanding of HR practices, regulatory compliance, and contract law
Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to generate and manage client relationships
Preferred
Experience in a law firm environment or as in-house counsel
Familiarity with law firm business operations, billing, and client engagement
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
