Engineering Technician, Cell Manufacturing Engineering

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technician for their Cell Manufacturing Engineering Team to support the next-generation battery cell manufacturing program. The role involves hands-on operation of test and pilot production equipment, along with responsibilities in process development, maintenance, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

Support pilot-scale material process development and operation
Execute on laboratory duties as required by engineering staff
Analyze process trends and control charts to identify and prevent process excursions
Perform processing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and identify/procure replacement parts
Maintain and manage raw materials and finished goods inventory

Required

Ability to converse technically with engineers and learn new systems quickly
Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office
Demonstrated experience following written/verbal standard operating procedures (SOP's)
Maintain clean and safe work area and support other projects as needed by management as business needs change
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
Climb and maintain balance on ladders
Physical maneuvering of materials, requiring ability to lift 35 pounds
Pass pulmonary function tests and physical exam for PAPR respirator use

Preferred

1+ years of experience in a technician role, preferred experience with handling battery materials and/or chemicals
