The Senior Internal Audit position is responsible for performing assurance and advisory internal audit activities, including audits of IT General Controls and financial compliance, while overseeing staff audit work and collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities

Plan and perform internal audits that may include IT, financial, operational and compliance reviews

Assume responsibility for lead role and assist in supervision of staff audit tasks on team projects

Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, particularly ITGC, IT application, IT related and IT dependent manual internal controls

Communicate results and issue reports to Management and auditees

Support external auditors by coordinating information requirements and sharing audit results on selected areas for reliance by the external auditor

Follow up on action plans and perform remediation testing

Execute other assignments and consulting projects requested by management and assist with special investigations as needed

Gather and analyze large amounts of data in a variety of company settings

Develop positive relationships with IT, accounting and operations staff, management, and external auditors

Supervise, train and mentor audit staff and/or interns, including the detailed review of prepared workpapers

Participate in organizational and departmental initiatives

Other administrative activities (e.g., report formatting, setting up workpaper files)

Required

Bachelor's degree in MIS, Accounting, Finance, or other related business or IT field required

Minimum 5-7 years of audit, IT audit, accounting or related background experience is required

Proficient with Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel

Strong written and communication skills

Strong analytical skills

Able to work independently, as a team player, and as a staff supervisor

Self-starter and detail oriented

Preferred

Master's degree is a plus

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation is a plus

Additional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFE, etc., or eligibility for such, is a plus

A good understanding of ICFR, ITGC, COSO, COBIT, GAAP (especially ASC 606) is beneficial

Oracle ERP audit experience is a plus
