Deputy Attorney General I-V Criminal & Delinquency Unit Family Division - Kent County
The State of Delaware's Department of Justice is seeking a Deputy Attorney General to join the Criminal & Delinquency Unit in Kent County. This position involves prosecuting criminal cases, drafting motions and briefs, conducting legal research, and negotiating plea agreements in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities
Compiling and producing discovery
Drafting motions and briefs
Performing research
Extending and negotiating plea agreements
Taking matters to trial
Prosecuting both juvenile delinquency and truancy cases
Qualification
Required
Membership in Delaware Bar required
Knowledge of criminal law and procedure
Ability to evaluate criminal cases, determine resolutions, and anticipate legal issues
Ability to research accurately and effectively
Ability to learn and apply the relevant laws and court rules
Ability to develop a good working relationship with other Deputy Attorneys General, support staff, and Court personnel
