Intern, R&D Graduate Summer - Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT), Onsite
Sandia National Laboratories is the nation’s premier science and engineering lab for national security and technology innovation. They are seeking Summer R&D Graduate Student Interns to support experimental research and assist staff in various scientific endeavors.

Responsibilities
Support experimental research in the areas of physics, chemistry, biology, metallurgy, materials science, and/or nanoscience
Support Sandia staff, post-docs, and visiting scientists in their research
Develop analytical techniques, sample preparation techniques, data analysis, or some combination to support ongoing basic and applied science efforts
Qualification
Required
Earned bachelor's degree
Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited science, engineering, or math graduate program
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
To be eligible for this position, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America, Sandia will not sponsor work authorization for this position
Preferred
Currently enrolled in an accredited Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or related discipline
Good communication skills as evidenced by a record of publication of results in peer-reviewed journals and external presentations at scientific conferences
Experience with experimental research and technique development
