DTx Sr Project Manager

Responsibilities

Lead development of value-based digital transformation strategies and roadmaps using practical, pragmatic approaches
Act as a change agent, guiding clients through organizational and operational transformation
Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, dependencies, resources, risks, and deliverables
Coordinate internal teams (engineering, design, procurement) and external stakeholders (clients, vendors, contractors)
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, ensuring clear communication at all organizational levels
Provide regular project updates, proactively identifying risks, issues, and opportunities
Manage scope changes and change orders in coordination with the commercial team
Identify and drive additional business opportunities across GrayMatter service offerings
Oversee project execution to ensure alignment with scope, technical specifications, PMO standards, and quality practices
Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions to develop Industry 4.0/5.0 strategies and programs
Lead sessions to define required capabilities supported by aligned solutions and value propositions
Manage projects in accordance with GrayMatter Systems PMO standards and methodologies
Ensure project materials clearly communicate objectives and the change imperative
Ensure compliance with GrayMatter Systems quality assurance practices
Manage, mentor, and support project teams throughout the project lifecycle
Foster collaboration across engineering, procurement, operations, and client teams
Monitor and manage project budgets and financial performance
Identify, procure, and allocate resources required to meet project skill and competency needs
Track and report project financials to senior leadership as required
Maintain required PMO documentation, including schedules, risk registers, communication plans, change orders, and status reports
Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improvement opportunities
Schedule and support account reviews in collaboration with client relationship managers

Required

Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field
10+ years of program or project management experience
Proven experience leading manufacturing transformation and digital initiatives in a consultative environment
Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
Strong program management skills, including estimating systems and MS Project/Gantt charts
Experience managing industrial automation projects, including SCADA, controls, instrumentation, PLCs, and HMIs
Proven success managing complex projects from initiation through completion
Experience with budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation
High attention to detail, organization, and customer service skills
Ability to model GrayMatter's core values: Accountability, Integrity, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork
Ability to travel up to 50% within the U.S. with some possible travel internationally

Preferred

PMP certification or PMI training
Experience with MES implementations
Proficiency with project management tools such as SmartSheet, MS Project, Primavera, or similar
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
Strong technical acumen and problem-solving skills with comfort navigating ambiguity
