Responsibilities

The Personnel Assistant I reports to the Human Resources Manager and is an hourly, non-exempt position

The Personnel Assistant I is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties relating to personnel, benefits, compensation, and employee relations activities

The Personnel Assistant I maintains up-to-date and organized HR files, e.g., confidential, personnel, medical, training, I-9, driver’s license, and insurance paperwork

Assists with processing paperwork for new hires and terminations, including retirement report and forms when applicable

Assists with advertising all open positions available on-center with Job Bid Program and off-center resources

Assists with conducting benefits enrollment and orientation for new employees and informing new employees of available insurance benefits, procedures, etc

Maintains the chronological training log and individual training records for all employees
