Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online)
Record and categorize all income, expenses, transfers, and journal entries
Perform monthly bank, credit card, and custodial account reconciliations
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for management
Reconcile advisory fees received from custodians (e.g., AUM-based fees, flat fees, planning fees)
Verify fee calculations against client agreements and custodial reports
Track fee revenue by advisor, client, and fee type
Identify and resolve discrepancies in fee payments or billing
Track incoming annuity checks, trails, and commission payments
Record annuity-related income accurately in QuickBooks
Reconcile carrier statements to deposits received
Maintain organized records of annuity and insurance-related payments
Qualification
Required
3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (financial services preferred)
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
Experience reconciling fees, deposits, and payments
Experience working with an RIA, broker-dealer, or financial advisory firm
Familiarity with RIA fee structures (AUM, flat fees, hourly, planning fees)
Experience with annuities, insurance commissions, or trail payments
