In most disciplines, a master's degree is required
For some disciplines, instructors may be hired with a bachelor's degree and/or appropriate experience

[ABP (Alternate Benefit Program](https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/pensions/pension-active-abp.shtml) is a defined contribution retirement program for adjuncts. Adjuncts contribute 5% of base salary and the college contributes 8% of base salary. There are seven State-authorized ABP investment carriers. Life insurance benefits through ABP are payable to the beneficiary at 3.5X the member's salary.
