Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the design, development, and validation activities for Chassis systems for assigned vehicle programs

Meet quality, cost, investment, weight, timing, technical and specified functional objectives

Coordinate supplier and sourcing activities

Issue resolution

Authoring source packages

Issue management

Part change management (including cost collaboration)

Engineering Design & Development management

Matrix interaction/leadership of assigned design and development engineers to achieve stated objectives

Close matrix interaction and taking direction from the subject vehicle line Body Sub-System Technical Manager (SSTM)

Qualification

Required

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree field

8 years of engineering design and development experience

Excellent communication and organization skills, with confidence and persuasive skills in presenting to Senior Management

Vehicle launch experience

Strong written and verbal skills

Ability to work & lead in a team environment

MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred

Master of Science Degree

Blackbelt in Reactive problem solving or DFSS
