Responsibilities

Develop electrical schematics and panel layouts using EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical

Create wiring diagrams, I/O schematics, safety circuits, and interconnect drawings

Design power distribution, control circuits, and field wiring

Perform FLA and heat-dissipation calculations for component sizing and panel ventilation

Apply UL 508A, NFPA 79, and customer standards

Prepare BOMs, component lists, nameplates, and wire labels

Review and approve drawings for build and assembly

Design pneumatic circuits and schematics

Specify valves, actuators, FRLs, and flow controls

Perform SCFM calculations and ensure proper air-supply sizing

Develop E-stop circuits, interlocks, safety relays, and light-curtain integrations

Ensure compliance with ISO 13849, NFPA 79, and customer safety requirements

Specify PLC hardware, drives, I/O modules, power supplies, and safety devices

Verify component compatibility and support sourcing efforts

Follow OEM, customer, and industry documentation standards, including GM Global Common and Ford FAST
