Responsibilities
Replacing mechanical seals on pumps and compressors
Performing motor alignments
Diagnosing and working with electrical systems and controls
Troubleshooting and servicing multiple brands of equipment and control systems
Understanding industrial-level ammonia refrigeration systems (not residential or commercial-only experience)
Working independently in client facilities
Troubleshooting and repairing equipment when operators cannot
Performing start-ups of ammonia refrigeration systems
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Ammonia Service Technician
Proficient in: Replacing mechanical seals on pumps and compressors
Proficient in: Performing motor alignments
Proficient in: Diagnosing and working with electrical systems and controls
Proficient in: Troubleshooting and servicing multiple brands of equipment and control systems
Proficient in: Understanding industrial-level ammonia refrigeration systems (not residential or commercial-only experience)
Capable of: Working independently in client facilities
Capable of: Troubleshooting and repairing equipment when operators cannot
Capable of: Performing start-ups of ammonia refrigeration systems
Must have a clean driving record
Preferred
Experienced in both commercial and industrial refrigeration
Self-motivated, hands-on, and a self-starter
Well-organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable with travel and participating in an on-call rotation
