Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise to project teams and functions by offering technical guidance and scientific insight for new process development and process improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional internal partners to build and grow our businesses
Interact with consumers and customers to develop meaningful insights and translate them into concepts, prototypes, and commercial offerings
Ensure projects proceed according to plan and results are documented and communicated
Lead new product or high-performance innovation efforts
Identify and lead evaluations of external process or manufacturing technologies or facilities
Identify and develop new process or product opportunities that create distinct value and enable business growth
Provide leadership, coaching and mentorship to a subordinate group
Support and comply with corporate and local safety and food or product safety policies and procedures
Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Experience in process technologies and engineering principles relevant to process development and scale-up
Minimum of 4 years of related work experience

Preferred

Engineering degree and/or Master's degree
Protein development experience
Ability to adapt and learn in a changing environment
Experience in developing, leading, and participating in multidisciplinary teams
Minimum 5 years of experience in new food process development
Minimum 5 years of experience in process improvement or optimization efforts

Benefits

Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award.
