AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC - Title 32

Responsibilities
Perform on and off equipment maintenance on aircraft egress systems, such as aircraft ejection seats, extraction and escape systems, egress components of jettison canopies, explosive components of escape hatches and doors, and egress trainers
Qualification
Required
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement
National Guard Membership is required
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968
Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission
May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training involving planning, developing, or administering quality assurance programs
Experience using computer and automation systems
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 18 months experience, education, or training involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs
Experience possessed by an expert in the area of specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers
Experience determining operations when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found
Experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or related field
Experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved
Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed
Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel
