Interpret and apply engineering principles and techniques to the resolution of problems
Qualification
Required
Two years of full-time experience in the class of Senior Engineering Technician in Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) service including one year of experience in the option be tested
Four years of sub-professional engineering experience involving public works facilities or structures work, including two years of experience comparable to the Senior Engineering Technician in Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) service in the option being tested
Completion of coursework in engineering or related field at an accredited college or university may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience
Preferred
Completion of some Engineering, Math, Science or related courses/formal training programs
Completion of an Engineering Certificate at a college or university
Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Math, Science or a closely related field
Associate's degree or higher in a field not closely related to Engineering
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Math, Science or a closely related field
National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) certification
