Responsibilities
Develop multi-body dynamic models for suspension, chassis, and powertrain systems using tools like MSC Adams, and CarSim, focusing on vehicle handling, stability, and overall ride quality
Conduct detailed simulations to assess vehicle dynamics under various driving conditions, including cornering, acceleration, braking, and off-road performance
Optimize suspension and chassis designs to enhance ride comfort, reduce vibration, improve vehicle response and stability, reduce harshness and discomfort. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to incorporate these enhancements into the overall vehicle architecture
Evaluate component interactions within the vehicle system, identifying areas where stiffness, damping, or material properties can be adjusted to improve dynamic performance
Document model development and analysis findings, creating comprehensive reports and best practices to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the engineering team
Support the vehicle development lifecycle by conducting sensitivity analyses, identifying optimal suspension settings, and ensuring design alignment with performance targets
Incorporate high fidelity measured data to model Air springs, Frequency dependent damper, Frequency dependent mounts
Conduct loads cascade analysis, at suspension and full-vehicle level, with measured wheel-center timeseries loads as input, and output timeseries loads at all joints/bushings/mounts/parts. Correlate calculated loads to measured and based on lessons learned improve model/simulation process and iterate
Conduct full-vehicle analysis with F-tire model and digitized road surfaces, and output timeseries loads at all joints/bushings/mounts/parts. Correlate calculated loads to measured
Use expertise to correlate virtual to physical. Sign-off virtual performance based on simulation models, with clear documentation of results and recommendations
Qualification
Required
Multi Body Simulation Engineer CAE Specialist to develop and validate dynamic models for Electric powertrain, Driveline and its attachments
The ADAMS engineer needs expertise in Adams/Car for below
Mount development: motor mounts, engine mounts, body mounts
Include generation of motion envelopes
Ride comfort: create road surfaces as input and calculate vehicle responses
Driveline torsional vibrations
