E-Commerce Business Systems & ERP Manager

The E-Commerce Business Systems & ERP Manager will oversee the reliability, performance, and integration of core business systems, specifically ERP, WMS, and ShipStation, ensuring they are optimized for efficiency as the company scales.

Responsibilities
Act as the primary administrator and day-to-day owner of ERP, WMS, and ShipStation, ensuring high uptime, performance, and data accuracy
Monitor system health, automation jobs, error logs, and integration queues to proactively identify and resolve issues
Configure and maintain workflows, master data, rules, user roles, permissions, and system settings
Manage updates, patches, and vendor support escalations to keep platforms stable and current
Maintain clear documentation for configurations, SOPs, integrations, and process flows
Ensure accurate, reliable integration between ERP, WMS, ShipStation, and related tools (e.g., e-commerce platforms, EDI, carrier services, 3PLs, BI/reporting)
Own troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for order sync issues, inventory mismatches, shipping exceptions or label failures, and tracking/cost delays back to ERP or storefronts
Improve and monitor integrations using APIs, EDI, middleware, or file-based exchanges
Establish validation checks, alerts, and reconciliation routines to prevent data drift across systems
Administer ShipStation settings including carrier connections, service mappings, rate shopping, automation rules, batching, label formats, and branded tracking
Ensure shipping workflows align with warehouse operations and ERP/WMS order states
Optimize shipping performance, minimizing manual touches and exception handling
Partner with operations and customer service to improve shipment accuracy, speed, and visibility
Regularly assess our software stack to identify inefficiencies, redundancy, and opportunities for automation or simplification
Translate operational pain points into system improvements, better configurations, or new automation
Lead or support improvement projects that increase throughput, reduce errors, and improve reporting quality
Help build scalable system processes as order volume, channels, and warehouses grow
Under leadership guidance, support evaluation and rollout of new ERP, WMS, shipping, or related systems
Assist with requirements gathering, process mapping, data cleanup/migration, UAT, carrier testing, cutover prep, and go-live support
Build training materials and conduct user training to ensure strong adoption and consistent usage
Support change control and communication to minimize disruption during transitions
Enforce access control, auditability, and data integrity best practices
Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
Ensure systems support compliance and reporting needs across operations and finance
Qualification
Required
3–7+ years of experience supporting ERP and/or WMS systems in an operations-heavy environment
Experience owning and troubleshooting system integrations (APIs, EDI, iPaaS, flat-file, middleware)
Strong analytical and root-cause troubleshooting skills
Understanding of warehouse/fulfillment workflows and order-to-ship processes
Ability to communicate clearly with technical vendors and non-technical business users
Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Preferred
Hands-on ShipStation administration experience, including carrier setup and automation rules
Experience integrating ShipStation with ERP/WMS and e-commerce platforms
Experience with multi-site warehouses, 3PLs, or complex inventory environments
SQL/reporting skills or experience supporting BI/analytics tools
Participation in ERP/WMS migrations or major system implementations
Familiarity with automation tools, scripting, or low-code solutions
