Maine Course Hospitality Group, based in Freeport, ME, is seeking a motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to support leadership teams across their hotel cluster in the South Portland/Scarborough market. The role involves developing new business, growing existing accounts, and strategically distributing business across properties to maximize profitability and market share.

Responsibilities

Developing new business, growing existing accounts, and strategically distributing business across the three properties based on customer needs, availability, and revenue strategy
Building long-term relationships with corporate clients, extended-stay accounts, and local business partners to maximize cluster profitability
Leading sales initiatives across multiple properties within the Portland cluster, developing and executing strategies designed to increase revenue and expand market share
Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients and partners, while collaborating closely with hotel leadership teams to ensure sales objectives are aligned with overall operational success

Required

Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities
Prior hotel or hospitality sales experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to generate new business through in-person appointments, phone outreach, and email prospecting
Strong research skills with the ability to identify new leads using web-based resources
Thorough understanding of the sales cycle, including Prospecting, Opening, Qualifying, Advancing, Gaining Commitment, and Closing
Ability to clearly communicate cluster-wide lodging solutions tailored to each client's needs
Strong ability to interpret sales performance metrics and market data to inform strategy
Must be available to work an average of at least 45 hours per week
Willingness to work evenings and weekends to accommodate networking events, client appointments, and group activities
Occasional off-hour engagements may be required to meet business and client needs
