Responsibilities
Analyze, design, develop, document and solutioning of mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
Perform requirement analysis, design, and code enhancements
Analysis of mainframe applications, conducting impact assessments, and translating technical findings into business rules
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements
Participate in migration exercises
Provide technical documentation and support for audits
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and mentor team members, while driving process improvements and initiating automation using modern tools and emerging technologies
Qualification
Required
Experience in solutioning and worked in multi-vendor environment
Expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
Solid understanding of batch and online processing
Problem-solving skills
Analyze, design, develop, document and solutioning of mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
Perform requirement analysis, design, and code enhancements
Analysis of mainframe applications, conducting impact assessments, and translating technical findings into business rules
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements
Participate in migration exercises
Provide technical documentation and support for audits
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and mentor team members
Driving process improvements and initiating automation using modern tools and emerging technologies
COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS DB and SQL
Tools: Endevor, Topaz, Control-M or scheduler exposure
Utilities: SORT, IDCAMS, ISPF
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Bachelor's degree
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Preferred
REXX automation
Familiarity with Mainframe migration/modernization
Exposure API integration and microservices concepts
Integrating with IBM MQ or IBM DataPower
