Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of S&P Global’s enterprise innovation architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term technology direction
Define structured frameworks for innovation ideation, including idea intake, prioritization criteria, feasibility scoring, business-value assessment, and architectural alignment
Evaluate emerging technologies, market trends, and competitive developments to identify opportunities for innovation across COMPANY’s technology and product landscape
Own or co-own innovation ideation software, platforms, and tools, ensuring proper configuration, adoption, and continuous enhancement to support enterprise-wide idea management
Partner with Product, Data, AI, Technology, and Business leaders to guide innovation exploration, rapid prototyping, and proof-of-concept (POC) efforts
Oversee architectural assessments of innovative concepts, ensuring that technical risks, dependencies, integration needs, and sustainability constraints are fully considered
Develop reusable innovation patterns, reference architectures, and technology playbooks that accelerate adoption of new capabilities across Divisions
Establish and run structured experimentation processes, including governance for POCs, sandbox environments, and success criteria for transition to production
Collaborate with Divisions to guide the rollout and scaling of successful innovation initiatives, ensuring enterprise standards, security, and operational principles are upheld
Create architectural models and documentation that capture the lifecycle of emerging technology adoption, from exploration to enterprise-level operationalization
Build partnerships with external vendors, research bodies, accelerators, and innovation ecosystems to stay informed of new tools, practices, and emerging technologies
Lead education and evangelism efforts across the architecture and technology communities to promote awareness of innovation frameworks, processes, and opportunities
Support due diligence for innovation-related vendor assessments, acquisitions, or strategic technology investments
Qualification
Required
Expert knowledge of established architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Gartner or Zachman) and their application in driving enterprise-level standards and compliance
Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior Product, Technology, and Business leaders to align technology & architectural decisions with investment prioritization
Strategic partnership lens, with understanding of entire data & software lifecycle to enable comprehensive support of Divisional needs
Experience in media/information services or related domain highly desirable (e.g., content delivery, subscription models, rights/licensing systems, real‑time analytics, digital platforms)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related discipline; Master's or MBA is a plus. Relevant architecture certifications desirable
Experience designing or operating enterprise innovation frameworks, including structured ideation, technology scouting, prioritization, and POC/process governance
Awareness of innovation ideation platforms and tools (e.g., Brightidea, Planbox, HYPE Innovation, Spigit, Miro ideation frameworks) and the ability to manage or configure such tools
Ability to evaluate emerging technologies based on business value, feasibility, risk, integration complexity, and long-term sustainability
Strong experience leading POCs, pilots, or experimental technology initiatives from concept through validation
Analytical skills to compare Buy vs. Build vs. Partner innovation paths and provide data-driven recommendations
Experience managing innovation communities, accelerator programs, or Centers of Excellence
Prior work with AI/Generative AI experimentation frameworks, data-driven innovation models, or digital product innovation
Experience with rapid prototyping tools, sandbox environments, or low-code experimentation platforms
Certifications in innovation management, enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, or product strategy
Experience in media, information services, or subscription-based digital platforms
