Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail environment
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or suspicious behavior
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or unusual activities according to Allied Universal protocols
Communicate professionally with store staff, management, and visitors to support a positive experience at the location
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
A guard card or license is preferred
Experience in loss prevention is preferred
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred
