Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive and secure atmosphere at the location
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns
Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons on the premises, according to Allied Universal and client site procedures
Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned areas to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to those at the location
Collaborate with healthcare staff and first responders during emergencies and/or incidents, following established protocols
Complete detailed and timely reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client site standards
Qualification
Required
Hospital employees must have required vaccines
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
