Responsibilities
Perform leak checks and operate high-pressure fluid systems for spacecraft testing
Work with hypergolic propellants and ensure safe handling procedures
Support spacecraft test engineering activities, ensuring test plan and safety protocols adherence
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and optimize system performance
Qualification
Required
Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time
Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use
This is a sensitive/safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing
5 or more years of propulsion-related fluids test engineering experience on spacecraft
Ability to support 1st and 2nd shift assignments, and overtime
Experience loading hypergolic propellants or performing test operations on hypergol-contaminated systems
Experience with leak checking spacecraft fluid systems
Experience developing procedures for leak checks and functional testing of hypergolic propellant systems
Experience operating high-pressure pneumatic equipment for flight hardware pressurization
Experience leading technicians, QA personnel, and test engineers during test execution
Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving non-conformances on ground support and flight hardware
Bachelor's degree
Preferred
Current or previous non-Destructive Test (NDT) Leak Test certification
Current or previous SCAPE/SAR certification
