Maintenance Area Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

Assists Maintenance Area Leader in the management of the Area Maintenance department
Ensures a proper diagnostic of electrical problems, repair and restart of production machineries of the area of responsibility in case of breakdowns
Manages equipment's spare parts in cooperation with Purchasing Department
Responsible for Protection, Creation of Backups and Maintenance of control system software, such as IPC's, PLC's, Drives, Communication Devices, etc
Setup and Configuration of IPC’s: IP Addresses and Host Names, Business Partner Access, IPC’s Imaging, Inventory, Backing up and Restoring, IT Security, Domain Integration, Manufacturing Systems, Central Recipe Management and Energy Monitoring
Ensures the implementation of the local Maintenance strategy
Identifies, analyses and insures the implementation of potential Controls & Drives (C&D ) improvements (including costs savings, downtime and scrap reduction) on area production machineries in cooperation with other departments
Ensures compliance with the electrical standards defined by Engineering Tires (MES/C&D) for IPC’s, PLC’s, Drives, Machines Interfaces, Controls, etc
Implements, Validates and Documents the hardware and software changes made to the Control Systems in accordance with Change Management Specification
Maintains professional and technical C&D knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks. Train and participate to the evaluation of electricians
Provides support for breakdowns and specialized support to Projects and Utilities & Buildings departments
Provide Technical Support in terms of interfaces and hardware (IPC’s, PLC's, Drives Systems, etc.) and software (Control Settings, High Level Programming, etc.)
Provides training to the Maintenance Team related to Control and Drive Systems including IT interfaces
Informs and ensures involvement of area Maintenance employees on ESH issues▪ Maintain an updated electrical and C&D documentation in the area (electrical plants, troubleshooting guides, etc…)

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology or related technical field
PLC Programming Knowledge

Preferred

Experience in machine installation/ modification (startup and commissioning)
