Responsibilities

Execute the month-end close process, including preparation of accrual entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Prepare variance analyses against prior periods and forecasted values
Contribute to the Annual Planning and Quarterly Forecasting of revenue for the US business
Drive process improvements in accruals, analysis, and reporting to enhance efficiency
Partner with Market Access, Reimbursement, and Finance for contract support and economic analysis
Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and Biogen accounting policies
Collaborate with external auditors on walkthroughs, variance analysis, and detail testing
Contribute to ad hoc projects, as assigned

Qualification

Required

3+ years of Accounting/Finance experience and internal controls
Strong oral and written communication skills
Solid understanding of GAAP accounting
Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

Preferred

Experience with life sciences companies
Oracle experience
Public Accounting experience preferred
CPA certification preferred
