Responsibilities
Operate and maintain QC analysis of oligonucleotides (e.g. LC-MS, capillary electrophoresis, PCR, UV/vis quantification)
Run and troubleshoot oligonucleotide synthesizers to support method development and scale-up, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support experimental design, data analysis, and reporting
Order and manage inventory of reagents, consumables, and lab supplies to ensure uninterrupted workflow
Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols and promote a culture of safety and compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field
2 or more years of hands-on experience in oligonucleotide synthesis or analytical chemistry, preferably in an R&D setting
Proficiency in LC-MS (ESI) operation and data interpretation
Ability to collaborate with engineers to safely operate custom and prototype tools and equipment
Ability to occasionally lift, move or carry equipment up to 10lb
Ability to frequently work in a laboratory environment for extended periods
Preferred
NGS sample preparation and operation of NGS instruments
Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g. Python)
Fluorescence imaging and use of plate readers
