Sales Engineer- SCM
Exostar is a company that specializes in cloud-based platforms for secure collaboration in highly regulated industries such as Aerospace and Defense and Life Sciences. They are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer with experience in Supply Chain solutions to partner with the Sales team, deliver presentations, and articulate the business value of their SaaS solutions.

Responsibilities
Delivering compelling presentations, demonstrations, and explanations of our supply chain, compliance, and IAM solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Services, Operations, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure successful outcomes
Additional duties may be assigned as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years of pre-sales engineering, solutions engineering, or related experience with a particular emphasis on Supply Chain, ERP, TMS and other Global Trade solutions
Experience in other customer-facing roles such as Services, Support, or Customer Success
Ability to whiteboard solutions quickly and explain them to both technical and non-technical audiences
Leverage your expertise in authentication protocols such as SAML, WS-Federation, and OIDC to design and implement tailored solutions for customers and prospects
Navigate and apply government and industry compliance standards — including ITAR, NIST 800-171, and CMMC — to ensure secure and compliant collaboration with vendors and external service providers
An understanding of core security concerns within a typical application and in SAAS applications and their hosting (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF)
Writing sample and demonstration examples will be required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field — or 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role
Proven team player with a strong commitment to customer success
Highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and deadline-driven
Skilled in creating technical documentation and conducting in-depth analysis
Experienced in developing product demonstrations and leading Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives
Ability to provide use-case driven detailed demonstrations for a business and user audience
Familiar with SaaS and Cloud-based services
Collaborative mindset with a passion for creative problem-solving
Self-starter with a proactive approach to challenges and opportunities
