Mid LevelBridge Appliances, Inc. is looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to develop and maintain testable embedded systems for their robotic devices. The role involves low-level programming, hardware-software integration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality embedded solutions.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain testable embedded systems software for robotic devices in concept and in production
Develop and maintain Yocto builds for Linux Operating Systems
Work on low-level programming for microcontrollers/microprocessors
Design, implement, and optimize real-time operating systems
Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure smooth hardware-software integration
Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems, resolving issues in a timely manner
Create and maintain technical documentation for embedded systems
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices
Review and manage custom PCB development and requirements
Identify and implement solutions to support various compliance requirements such as Functional Safety for UL certification
Identify and recommend hardware components required to deliver a great customer experience
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Proven experience in embedded systems development, including C/C++ programming
Strong understanding of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures and embedded hardware
Proficiency in real-time/near real-time operating systems and device drivers
Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
Experience with developing circuit board schematics and component selection
Experience implementing displays and highspeed communication
Experience with AC and DC systems
Experience implementing control loops and feedback systems
Familiarity with debugging tools and protocols
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with implementing GUI solutions for end-user interactions
Knowledge regarding various sensors and their limitations
Familiarity with implementing and maintaining testing frameworks for new and existing code
Familiarity with implementing IoT solutions
