Responsibilities
Manage and grow the Application Security Platform team, directly managing 5 security engineers
Define Application Security Standards that proactively address existing and emerging threats specific to the Datadog stack, as well as align with industry best practices but also
Design and build secure solutions to enable teams to adopt security controls through secure-by-default configurations within our platform systems
Collaborate with platform and product teams across Engineering to develop secure solutions and defaults, enabling engineers to follow the golden path for secure design
Use metrics, measurements and KPIs to sustain or improve our security posture over time
You’ll have a direct impact on the Datadog security product suite by leveraging the product internally and continuously providing actionable feedback to Product
You won’t have all the answers but you’ll help foster a high-performance and inclusive culture
Qualification
Required

Passionate about security and want to work on complex security problems, at-scale, in a large multi-cloud environment
You have great communication skills, emotional intelligence and skills at collaborating with and coaching folks from different backgrounds
You have direct people management experience and a strong desire to develop as an engineering leader
You thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and find ways to drive outcomes working with key stakeholders
You have prior experience in Software Engineering, Security Architecture, Application Security, and/or Offensive Security
You stay updated with modern security best practices, technologies and emerging threats
